⚡ Tudhoe Primary School Powers Up with EV Smart Charge Points

We’re excited to share that Tudhoe Primary School has recently installed three dual-socket fast EV charge points, enabling six vehicles to charge simultaneously. The project was delivered by EV Smart through the UK Government’s EV Infrastructure Grant for state-funded schools, which helps educational institutions embrace cleaner transport at little or no upfront cost.

🌍 A Practical Step Toward Sustainability

Tudhoe Primary is showing real leadership by taking action on sustainability — not only through the curriculum, but through visible, everyday changes to the school environment.

With the addition of EV charging facilities, the school is:

• Supporting low-emission travel for staff and visitors

• Helping reduce transport-related carbon emissions

• Reinforcing the values of sustainability for pupils and the wider school community

As electric vehicle ownership continues to rise, having on-site charging infrastructure is fast becoming a smart, future-ready move for schools.

The installation included:

• 3 x Dual-Socket Fast EV Charge Points (6 sockets in total)

• Integration into EV Smart’s management and support platform

• DNO coordination, installation, and commissioning

• Ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and helpdesk support

Thanks to the grant scheme, Tudhoe Primary was able to implement this upgrade with minimal capital spend, unlocking long-term benefits for staff, the school, and the local environment.
