Eligibility Requirements
To ensure that your state-funded school or education institution qualifies for the State-Funded School and Education Institution Electric Vehicle Chargepoint Grant Program, please review the following eligibility criteria:

This grant is exclusively available for state-funded schools and education institutions. Independent schools are encouraged to explore funding options through the Workplace Charging Scheme.
Geographical Coverage:

The grant program is open to institutions located in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. Please note that institutions in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man are not eligible.
Essential Requirements:
To be eligible, your institution must meet the following prerequisites:

Need for Charging: You should demonstrate an existing or future need for charging an electric vehicle within your institution.

Off-Street Parking: Your premises must have designated off-street parking facilities that are clearly associated with your institution. These parking facilities may be used by customers, guests, visitors, staff, or others.

Site Survey Confirmation: An installer must have conducted a site survey and confirmed that your site can effectively support EV charging infrastructure.

No Duplicate Applications: Your institution should not have applied for a grant for the same chargepoint under the EV infrastructure grant for staff and fleets or any other grant scheme.

Authority to Apply: You must have the authority to apply for the Workplace Charging Scheme on behalf of your organization.

Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA): Your institution should not have received more than £315,000 in minimal financial assistance over the past three fiscal years. This includes state grants, subsidies, and any other government-funded financial incentives. Any paperwork related to such payments should clearly state that it is de minimis state aid.
Academy Trusts:

Academy trusts have the opportunity to apply for up to a maximum of 40 sockets for each institution within the academy trust.
Exemptions from MFA Requirements:

Some state-owned education institutions may be exempt from declaring minimal financial assistance. It is your responsibility to check if this exemption applies to your institution.
