We’re delighted to share that Dene House Primary School in Peterlee has recently installed two dual-socket EV charge points, supporting up to four electric vehicles charging at once — all delivered by EV Smart through the UK Government’s EV Infrastructure Grant for schools.
As more schools take practical steps toward sustainability, Dene House is leading by example.
🌿 Driving Sustainability On and Off Campus
This installation isn’t just about convenience — it’s about making a real contribution to a cleaner, low-carbon future. By adding EV infrastructure, Dene House is:
Supporting the UK’s Net Zero goals
Encouraging low-emission transport among staff and families
Embedding environmental awareness in everyday school life
EV charging facilities are also a visible way to show pupils and the wider community that sustainability isn’t just something we talk about — it’s something we do.
🔧 Delivered by EV Smart — End to End
EV Smart managed the full installation process, including:
2 x Dual-Socket Fast EV Charge Points
Smart back-office software and remote monitoring
DNO coordination and electrical installation
Maintenance and ongoing support
Thanks to the government grant, Dene House was able to benefit from this upgrade with minimal cost to the school — turning a future-facing idea into a practical, affordable improvement.
